Meet the Team

James is the owner & director of Stuarts Residential.

Having started as a trainee in the estate agency in 1995 James has almost a quarter of a century behind him in the business and has seen lots of change.

“When i first started in estate agency at the tender age of 18 the business was very basic with black & white photography, ‘hot client’ boxes & a vendor client base making choices on who to use to sell their home based on purely location & selling fee. Since then we have seen the explosion of the internet, email and smart phones & a widening choice of who to use to sell your home & how much to pay.

What i always loved about my job is that i was being paid to talk to people, finding someone a place to live gave me great satisfaction & being paid to do so was at the time a bonus!

Currently running both Stuarts Residential and Allen Residential, the two brands are set to merge very shortly, thus creating the largest residential letting agency in the area with an increased capability to serve a wider audience and area.

Having previously worked for a large corporate agency & a high quality Independent I was keen to develop a company that could compete with any & all competitors whilst offering the quality of service known to come from the high quality Independent agencies.  We embrace modern technology & are at the forefront amongst our competitors, having a younger team of course helps us with this; we are constantly praised for our energy & enthusiasm when selling properties for our clients!

Stuarts Residential was founded in 2011, whilst Allen Residential was founded slightly earlier in 2005. With the recent amalgamation of both firms, Allen Residential will now become the leading independent property management agent in Somerset.

There is not much that gets past Lois, so it is well known that she is the real boss of Stuarts Residential!

With exacting standards, an encyclopaedic knowledge of our landlords and tenants, Lois is responsible for the smooth running of our Property Management team. Most of all she thrives in dealing with the differing challenges each day brings.

When she is not resolving problems, Lois enjoys lifting weights in the gym, spending quality time with friends and binge watching a good box set.

Having already achieved an Intermediate Level Diploma in Business Administration, Level 3 Certificate in Customer Service, Level 3 Diploma in Residential Property Letting and Management (dipRPLM), she is now beginning her studies towards a Level 4 Diploma in Property Letting and Management.

Lois has been with Stuarts Residential since June 2015.

Garry is a wizard at valuing properties and is the first port of call for all landlords looking to let their empty properties!

Having spent many years working in customer service, Garry has a friendly, helpful and can do approach to all enquiries, regardless how tricky they seem!

Garry has recently completed his Level 2 Diploma in residential letting and property management.

Away from work you are likely to find Garry in a music shop, at a gig or playing football. Much to Stuart’s relief, Garry is a huge Liverpool FC fan.

Garry has working in the property industry since October 2021 and has been with Stuarts Residential since February 2022.

Lydia helps to ensure that payments are made to our landlords, contractors and suppliers.

Armed with her selection of pastel highlighters and meticulous systems she ensures that all payments are made promptly.

Spontaneous days out with her young family and a cosy night with a takeaway feature high on the list during her spare time.

Before discovering the joys of parenthood, she achieved her Level 2 Diploma in residential property letting and management and as of June 2023 has now completed her Level 3 Diploma (dipRPLM) in residential property letting and management.

Lydia has been with Stuarts Residential since September 2017.

Tamsin has previously worked in an administration environment and also been involved with looking after tenants and landlords in London, so knows her ‘brass tacks’ when it comes to dealing with tenancies!

Keen to learn and get herself qualified, Tamsin is currently working towards her Level 2 Diploma in residential letting and property management.

Tamsin is a Spurs fan, much to Richard’s pleasure and Stuart and Garry’s disgust, and whilst not working enjoys weekend trips away with her partner and dog called Poppy.

Tamsin has worked in the property industry since November 2021 and has been with Stuarts Residential since June 2023.

Having come from a ‘never knowingly undersold’ retail background, Stephen enjoys the challenges of providing excellent customer service to all our clients.

This is especially important when it comes to helping landlords find the best tenants for their properties.

Stephen is currently working towards his Level 2 Diploma in residential letting and property management.

Originally from Wales, Stephen is a rugby fan and tried his best (unsuccessfully) to educate Stuart and Garry on why it is a far superior game to football.

Stephen has been with Stuarts Residential since February 2023.
